Hi there! I'm currently participating in Critmas 2016 for #TeamFairies. Our task is to supply meaningful critique to art around DA between Dec 24th and Jan 6th. I hope you're having a lovely Christmas and wish you a Happy New Year! :)

Critmas 2016 - Fairies Avatar by Synfull

The Critique:

The sharp contrast between the black feet and the white background in this photograph is really striking. It also helps capture a real sense of motion from an inanimate object. I also really enjoy the simplicity of it. You haven't tried to capture too much; just enough to let the viewer know what it is (quite clearly a horse) but leave enough unseen to tease them into wanting to know more; where is this horse? Is he on a shelf, or in a field?

This is an incredibly personal opinion, and I don't mean to offend you with it; however I feel like your watermark spoils the serenity of this piece. With such a plain white background we can imagine this horse in any situation (to me, he's on an open plain, free and wild), yet your grungy/horror-esque watermark really spoils the feel of it. It adds a sinister emotion to the piece which feels really out of place. Have you considered a more neutral looking watermark? One which won't impact on a piece as much?
