Scratching the Surface

This is a production from the E-Media Communications department at The University of Cincinnati: Raymond Walters College from 2007. I did the title sequence and an animated sequence in the film (but I honestly could not tell you which one). This is on a DVD that features me demonstrating camera-less animation techniques.

This short film is scratch animation- The title sequence was done on 35mm and I believe the film itself was done on 16mm. Basically, you scratch the emulsion off the film to get an image and you can use highlighters and other materials to add color.
